The people behind the platform

Different paths.
One shared art.

Entrepreneurs, veterans, designers, developers, competitors and coaches — brought together by a practice that asks the same things of everyone who steps onto the mat.

Jiu-jitsu brings together people who might never otherwise share the same room. Entrepreneurs train beside warriors. Designers solve problems beside competitors. Fathers, coaches, builders, veterans and creators learn to trust one another through a shared practice.

The Jiu-Jitsu Style team reflects that same diversity. Each person brings a different history, discipline and perspective to the project. What connects us is a belief that jiu-jitsu can make people more capable, more connected, and more fully alive.

Meet Aaron

Aaron Tiegs is a jiu-jitsu black belt, active competitor, mental-performance coach, and martial-arts coach based in Bend, Oregon. Having begun training at approximately eight years old, jiu-jitsu has shaped nearly every stage of his personal and professional development.

A full-time jiu-jitsu athlete and avid competitor, Aaron combines extensive mat experience with a strong academic and professional foundation — a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oregon State University, and certification as a personal trainer.

The focus extends beyond technique alone to include confidence, resilience, emotional control, preparation, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure. Within Jiu-Jitsu Style, Aaron represents the perspective of the dedicated athlete — someone who has grown through the art from a young age and continues to test that development in training and competition.
